Safe Routes to School

SRTS

Safe Routes to School is a plan to make it safer to get to-and-from Cheyenne schools and to encourage more students and staff to walk, roll, and bike.

The Cheyenne Metropolitan Planning Organization and Laramie County School District is finished with updating the existing Safe Routes to School Plan.

In 2023 to 2024, barriers to students safely accessing school by walking, rolling, and biking were identified through community engagement, through a survey of principals, and through school visits by project staff.
