COMPREHENSIVE SAFETY ACTION PLAN
Help Build A Safer Cheyenne
Safe Streets for All – Cheyenne Comprehensive Safety Action Plan
Each year, crashes on Cheyenne’s roads result in serious injuries and lives lost. Many of these incidents can be prevented. The Safety Action Plan helps Cheyenne better understand safety risks like speeding, visibility, and crossing challenges. It also identifies solutions that make streets safer for everyone.
The Safety Action Plan will guide:
• Targeted improvements on high-injury roads
• Policy and program changes
• Ongoing safety education and outreach

What This Means
Serious crashes can happen anywhere, but they are not random. The data shows patterns in where and how they occur. By focusing on higher-risk locations and proven solutions, Cheyenne can make meaningful progress toward reducing serious injuries and saving lives.

What is Safe Streets for All (SS4A)
SS4A is a federal grant program from the U.S. Department of Transportation that supports local efforts to improve roadway safety and save lives. In Cheyenne, the plan is led by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) in partnership with the City of Cheyenne, Laramie County, and other local partners.
