The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) will be hosting a virtual public meeting to review the Environmental Assessment (EA) for the I-25/I-80 Interchange Project.

(To view the full press release, click here.)

Here’s what you’ll need to know to find and review the Environmental Assessment (EA), attend the virtual meeting (or review meeting info before/after, if you can’t make it), and provide commentary or ask questions about the plan and/or EA.

About the I-25/I-80 Interchange Project

The I-25/I-80 interchange is a transportation focal point that facilitates the movement of people and goods on a local, regional, and national level. With no major improvements made since its construction in the 1960s, the interchange needs to be brought up to current interstate safety and mobility standards.

The project proposes a full replacement of the existing I-25/I-80 interchange, as well as a full replacement of the I-25/ Lincolnway interchange because of its proximity to the I-25/I-80 interchange. The purpose of the project is to improve safety, accommodate future traffic volumes, and support local development.

What topics will be covered during the virtual meeting?

In addition to soliciting input and comments on the EA, WYDOT and FHWA will provide information on project history, transportation needs for the project, and WYDOT’s anticipated next steps.

When is the virtual meeting, and how do I access it?

The virtual meeting will take place from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 30. To watch the meeting live, visit http://www.i25i80.com/ during the time frame listed above.

During the meeting, live commentary will be available, allowing the public to ask questions and/or share concerns about the project and EA with other members of the public and with the project team.

From June 29 through July 1, the virtual meeting content will remain available for viewing at http://www.i25i80.com/.
