Public Participation Plan
The Cheyenne MPO works to develop transportation policies and to coordinate the various federal, state, and local agencies involved in long-range transportation planning and project development. Although the MPO’s primary focus has been transportation, its mission is not confined to just highways and pavement. This group also advocates for transit, bike and pedestrian improvements. With a broad-spectrum approach, the MPO is involved with all aspects of transportation growth, development and quality-of life improvements for the Cheyenne Area.
As part of the Federal SAFETEA-LU transportation bill adopted in 2005, all MPOs must develop and use a documented Public Participation Plan. The affected agencies, citizens and groups, that the plan is intended to reach, should also have a say in putting the plan together.
This is why we are requesting members of the public to review the draft. To submit feedback please contact Nancy Olson at 307-638-4366 or nolson@cheyennecity.org
