West Cheyenne Plan
The West Cheyenne
Land Use and Infrastructure Improvement Plan is the MPO’s
most recent sub-area plan. The intent of the plan is to:
- Integrate
input from a diverse group of stakeholders;
- Integrate and
coordinate the planning for Warren Air Force base and other
land
areas that have previously developed specific plans for those areas.
- Take
into account various governmental and special interest plans
and data about the area;
- Set forth a vision
for what West Cheyenne should be in the future and the goals,
objectives,
and actions necessary to achieve those visions
over a reasonable
time; and,
- Create a land use
and transportation plan for the area based on the previous
items.
- Integrate
the planning and development for this area into the framework
established by the community’s comprehensive plan.
Further, the plan will incorporate conceptual plans for the future
redevelopment and reconstruction of the Missile Drive Corridor and
its roadway intersections,
especially 19th and 20th Streets and Happy Jack Road and examine
the feasibility of future interstate interchanges.
Update: The
West Cheyenne Land Use and Infrastructure Improvement Plan
was adopted by the Governing Body of the City
